It is with great sadness that the family of Margie Currie announces her passing on Saturday April 15, 2023. She passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Margie was much loved Nana of Scott, Sarah, and Matthew Murphy and Jacob, Mackenzie, and Lucas Ward. Dear sister of Dennis McCloskey and his wife Kris, Lynda Town (late husband Ron) and Wayne McCloskey and his wife Sabina.
Margie will be remembered by her nephews Jeff and Justin.
Margie was a dedicated employee of Durham Catholic District School Board as an Administrative Assistant at St. Isaac Jogues for 29 years. She was known for her vivacious personality, her infectious smile, and unwavering dedication to her job. She retired from DCDSB in 2013 and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Margie always put others before herself and was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many. She enjoyed travelling the world and cruising with her husband however her heart always remained at home with her family. Her most favourite thing to do was spend summers and weekends with her children and grandchildren at her cottage on Jack Lake.
Thank you to Dr. Chang and his team at Lakeridge Health Cancer Center in Oshawa, as well as the Palliative Care and Homecare teams at Lakeridge Health.
